page55 is a project that does not serve any particularly noble reason for existence. It does not purport to help out any particular cause, nor does it strive to influence users in any way shape or form. No, page55 is here simply because it can be.

Why does page55 offer such things as webmail, a weblog, or a forum? Why is there random content posted from time to time? The answer to this is also, because it can be. If one concrete answer must be given, one might say that page55 is here for friends and associates who may need some sort of web-based service. The existence of page55 can be summed up in three words... it is functional. It does serve a purpose to those who choose to use it. It also exists for the page55 admins to gain experience with something such as... oh, I don't know.... css, MySQL, or plain old HTML.

Some things that we at page55 dislike are pop-up ads, spam, and other annoying things on the Internet that take away from your experience. page55 will not utilize spam or pop-up ads to gain notoriety. page55 will probably never gain a huge following... and that is fine with us. So, maybe you came across this site by accident. Or maybe you were referred by word-of-mouth or saw a link on someone else's page. Take a look around. Maybe you'll see something interesting. But, maybe not...
